TOOLSET

Seven voice commands. One crew veteran in your ear.

"ID this"

Plant ID

Frame a plant, hear its name and care notes in seconds.

"What material is this"

Material ID

Mulch, stone, pavers, turf type — tuned on real job-site photos over time.

"Start walk notes"

Walk transcription

Talk while you walk. Get notes organized by location and a draft scope of work.

"Check grade"

Slope & grading

Sight down the slope; the built-in tilt sensor reads % grade.

"Drain option here?"

Drainage advice

Slope, soil, and area become a clear recommendation — French drain, dry well, regrade.

"Why's this zone dry"

Irrigation check

Spot broken heads and leaks, read a multimeter, ID the valve or controller brand, and get the next step.

"What's wrong with this turf"

Turf diagnosis

Best guess plus a review flag for the crew lead to confirm.

IRRIGATION CHECK

Look at the meter. Hear what it means.

  • Multimeter readings — point at the display; ohms or AC volts are read off and judged by fixed rules (solenoid 20–60 Ω, valve power 24–30 VAC).
  • Brand & model ID — Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, Irritrol, Orbit, Rachio and more, with brand-specific tips.
  • Field problems — broken heads, leaking valve boxes, clogged nozzles, dry-zone patterns.
  • Next step — a short, spoken diagnostic action, saved to the property's findings with the photo.
EXAMPLE RESULT · "WHY'S THIS ZONE DRY"
VALVE: Hunter PGV-101
METER: OPEN CIRCUIT (OL)

Solenoid coil or wire is broken. Check splices, then replace the solenoid.

  • Turn the solenoid a quarter turn to bleed manually and confirm the valve opens.
  • Swap in a Hunter 24 VAC solenoid and retest.
